CHA Education Department provides educational programming focusing on hospital operations and performance and continually works to meet its members' ongoing and emerging learning needs. It is the Department's goal to provide the membership with quality, timely and cost effective programming around the state and at the CHA Conference Center, which is also available for member use. CHA's Education Department offers traditional classroom programming as well as distance learning programming through CareLearning and other Internet based entities, allowing members to take part in cost-effective learning opportunities without leaving their facilities. Contact hour credits are available for many of these programs for nurses, coders, health information managers, quality managers and other healthcare professionals allowing them to fulfill their continuing education obligations. ACHE Category II credits are available as well. The Education Department also conducts two major conferences a year for its members - the Annual Rural Hospital Conference and the CHA Annual Meeting of the Membership. In addition, Colorado is one of the seven states instrumental in the development of the Western Regional Trustee Symposium (WRTS) which is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary. The CHA Education staff participates in the planning and orchestration of the Western Regional Trustee Symposium (WRTS) well known for being one of the premier trustee meetings in the country.
