Alerts are time-sensitive communications that CHA uses to let its members know about any federal or state issues, generally legislative, that require immediate grassroots action. This feature allows CHA members to provide federal and state lawmakers with thoughtful and timely feedback, and offers them the opportunity to secure additional support by forwarding the alerts and messages to others for their use. Note: Internet Explorer users should be running IE8 for optimal performance.
My Elected Officials
This section helps CHA members find specific contact information for the elected official(s) in their area. Users can enter their home or business address into the search engine to display the names of the federal and state legislators in their assigned district. Clicking on the official’s name will then bring up their biographical, contact, staff and committee membership information.
These provide users with access to a variety of resources, including a state legislative directory, state officials and agencies’ websites and information about issues and legislation. There is also a link to Colorado’s congressional delegation, as well as a "Search Local Government" feature that allows users to find local officials by zip code or place name. The media guide contains contact information for local and national media outlets, while the election guide offers an overview of upcoming elections.
