Rural Health & Hospitals
CHA recognizes the delivery of health care in rural areas throughout Colorado varies greatly from that in metro areas. The Association works to identify and respond to the specific financial, management and other needs of small and rural hospitals. CHA coordinates activities of the Rural Hospital Council, which recommends policy to the CHA Board and assists in the development of the annual Rural Hospital Conference. Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) are rural community hospitals that receive cost-based reimbursement. Click here for more information on CAHs from the American Hospital Association. For a complete list of CAHs in Colorado, click here.
