Hospital Preparedness

Mass Fatality/Casualty

As part of the 2009-10 Hospital Preparedness Program grant, the Colorado Hospital Association (CHA) was contracted to design and conduct a Colorado Hospital Mass Fatality Summit to prepare Colorado hospitals for managing a mass fatality event. Hospitals and critical mass fatality-related community partners (e.g., coroners, Public Health, county/city Emergency Managers) were brought together to learn more about partners respective roles in a mass fatality event and to develop/further enhance plans for preparing for and managing mass fatality events.

The following is a list of helpful resources related to mass fatality planning, many of which were distributed at the Summit. To submit resources for inclusion on this page, please email CHA.HEP@CHA.com.
