Hospital Decontamination Train-the-Trainer

As part of the 2008-09 Hospital Preparedness Program grant, the Colorado Hospital Association was contracted to conduct a series of First Receiver Hospital Decontamination Train-the-Trainer programs. The goal of the train-the-trainer programs was to establish a core group of regional trainers who were certified in teaching the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliant decontamination methods and procedures (as specified by OSHA, 29CFR 1910.120 (q)(6)(i) and adapted for hospitals). These regional trainers would then be qualified to train additional personnel (at their facilities, at other hospitals within their region, etc.) in these methods and procedures.
