Hospital Preparedness Advisory Group (HPAG)

Background

Because the Colorado Hospital Association (CHA) recognizes that hospitals are the experts on hospitals, the Hospital Preparedness Advisory Group (HPAG) was established in 2008 to:

• Advise CHA’s Hospital Emergency Preparedness Program (HEP)
• Assist in the implementation of CHA’s and HEP’s mission, vision and goals

Mission

To improve health care emergency responses through effective all-hazards planning, coordination and collaboration between health care organizations and community, local, regional, and state emergency preparedness partners.

Vision

For Colorado hospitals to achieve high levels of readiness to mitigate, prepare for, respond to and recover from all hazards.
