Health Care Disparity Initiatives

Colorado hospitals serve diverse populations and are continually being challenged to address their disparate needs. The Colorado Hospital Association (CHA) recognizes the increasing demands on Colorado hospitals in the area of health care disparity and will continue to help educate and assist its members in addressing these challenges in the areas of workforce, patient safety and quality of care. CHA will provide education and training to help members understand and comply with the new Joint Commission standards for culturally competent patient-centered care. CHA will also search for opportunities to partner with local and national experts to help members learn how to respond to the special needs of cultural and linguistic minorities.
